Here are some of the projects that we have worked on
IBM Game Tomorrow
Spring 2008 semester
A student-team worked with IBM Fellow, John Cohn to create an interactive multimedia companion piece for an electronic game that IBM developed for Engineering Week 2008. The educational product is delivered in a multimedia way that kids relate to, and it illuminates what makes up an electronic game and what courses of study and careers are available in game-related fields.

Meeting Professionals International Conference
February 2-5, 2008, Houston, Texas
A team of Champlain students were invited to set up a Game Design Lab onsite at the Meeting and Professionals International (MPI) Conference in Houston, Texas. During this conference, which gathers over 2,500 industry professionals, the students were given the challenge of creating two web-based learning games focused on key meetings and events industry concepts.

CIMIT Innovation Congress 2007
November 13-14, 2007, Boston, Massachusetts
Champlain students explored how public safety and healthcare professionals are using current technologies to improve emergency response systems and disaster preparedness training.

Learning 2007
October 21-24, 2008, Orlando, Florida
Four of our game development students recently represented Champlain College for a Rapid Learning Game project at the Learning 2007 conference in Orlando, Florida. Their mission: to create a learning game in a matter of days, and present their results to over 2,000 conference attendees!

Voices for the Lake-ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center
Ongoing project. Summit held November 17, 2007, Champlain College campus
As part of an ongoing collaboration with the ECHO Center, the community-driven Voices for the Lake Brainstorming Forums helped set the course for engaging the public through new Internet technologies. During part of a three-day summit, members of the community from all walks of life gathered on the Champlain College campus to discuss ways to implement emergent media to mobilize citizens to create a healthier Lake Champlain.

Mission Mercury
A group of 12 Champlain College Game Development students teamed up with the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation to create a movie and a game about the dangers of Mercury.
