Current Use: The Hauke (pronounced hockey) building was constructed as a place where students could learn as well as relax. The Student Life Office is an important part of this building, providing students with tutors and counseling. In addition to traditional classrooms, the building also includes the photography lab, the Accounting and Math Lab, and The View and the Boardroom Cafe. The View and the Boardroom are both "labs" for the Hotel-Restaurant Management students who run the areas. Both eateries are open to the public and are open during the fall and spring semesters, The View is also open during the summer sessions. Also in the Hauke building is a student lounge, where students hang out between classes or come to study alone or in groups, and the Rec Room. The Rec Room provides an area of entertainment for students, including a pool table, ping-pong, and a large screen television.

History: The Hauke Family Student Center was the result of a growing need for space to house a student center, a snack bar, and tutoring and counseling services. The building also filled a need for more classrooms, art studios, and other academic spaces, and along with the courtyard that adjoins it, it is the center of activity on the campus.
