Kyle Dodson, Director- kdodson@champlain.edu

Kyle believes that being an "engaged citizen" is our highest calling and he loves that he gets to spend his days thinking about, and helping to inspire and develop engaged citizens. Kyle was formerly a public elementary school Principal in Dorchester, MA. He is incredibly passionate about urban public Pre-K—12 education and issues concerning equity and access for all students, regardless of race or socio-economic status.

Maggie Melvin, Service Coordinator- mmelvin@champlain.edu

Maggie’s passions for both service and photography helped fuel her studies in Anthropology at Saint Michael’s College. She uses her unique way of understanding, documenting, and engaging with the world around her as she supports students at Champlain in their own pursuits of being engaged citizens. She is excited to reach out to new students and help connect them with their local and global communities.

 Abbey Schneider, Americorps*VISTA - aschneider@champlain.edu

Abbey is an art educator and recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin where her master's thesis focused on seeing if, how, and why art museums choose to act as social agents. In the CSCE, Abbey will bring both her passion for the arts and social issues to programs that continue to build partnerships between the college and the Burlington communities.
