Energizing the Vermont economy & workforce

Champlain College contributes to the economic vitality of the state with a variety of centers and programs.

Champlain College Workforce Development Center
 
Through Champlain’s Online and Continuing Education Division, the Workforce Development Center offers credit-bearing educational opportunities for working adults who want to improve, upgrade and master professional knowledge for their career development. Champlain has been helping to meet the needs of businesses and their employees for more than 125 years.
 
Emergent Media Center at Champlain College
 
This new center at Champlain advances the use of electronic games in education and enhances the College’s and the state’s connections with the game development industry. It’s an extension of Champlain’s innovative Electronic Game degree programs. In addition, Champlain students and faculty will work on serious games for a variety of organizations.
 
Vermont Global Trade Partnership
 
Champlain College is home to the Burlington office of the Vermont Global Trade Partnership. A broad range of trade services are available to Vermont businesses in one location in the S.D. Ireland Family Center for Global Business and Technology. In addition, Champlain’s International Business students conduct free trade research for businesses and help the state with trade missions.

Champlain College Center for Digital Investigation (C3DI)

The College created a regional center for computer forensics with major funding from the U.S. Department of Justice. Champlain faculty members work with law enforcement to perform digital investigations and add capacity to law enforcement agencies. Through the center, the College is also creating new online training opportunities that will be available in Vermont and across the United States.

Vermont Information Technology Center at Champlain College
 
A collaborative venture between the Vermont Technology Council and Champlain College, this center applies information technology for the creation of business opportunities.
 
SD Ireland Center for Global Business & Technology
 
In this new academic building at Champlain, student teams tackle the real-world business challenges and opportunities of Vermont businesses, including those related to the Internet, marketing planning, communications, e-business and e-commerce, international trade, PR, business and product development, and interactive development.
 
Champlain College’s Career Services Office
 
Through internships, recruiting events and job postings, this office helps companies build an outstanding workforce.
 
Champlain College’s BYOBiz program
 
Champlain College is recruiting students to bring their businesses or business ideas with them to college. Champlain provides educational and networking resources so the students can grow their businesses.
 
Champlain College’s Division for Online & Continuing Education
 
One of the pioneers of online education in the country, Champlain College offers adult learners the opportunity to learn the skills they need to stay competitive in the workplace by taking classes online - any time of the day or night, seven days a week, from anywhere via the World Wide Web. Innovative online master’s degrees include Champlain’s integrated MBA and a master’s in Innovation & Information Technology.
