Get a taste of all aspects of the field in the media studies bachelor’s degree program through Champlain College’s Continuing Professional Studies Division.
Through a balanced approach, the program simultaneously develops technical skill and an understanding of the artistic, historical and theoretical traditions on which the discipline is built. As a student in this program, you will learn to
- Step back and look at the media with a critical eye by investigating the political and economic institutions that have shaped the media.
- Examine the artistic and social heritage through which film, broadcasting and the print media have developed.
- Study the social and psychological structures, which both influence and are influenced by the media.
