Gary
C. Kessler is an Associate Professor, program director of the
Computer & Digital Forensics program, and director of the Center
for Digital Investigation at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont,
where he has taught since 2000.
Prior to that time, Gary was a Senior Network Security Analyst at SymQuest Group, a network integration consulting company, and Director of Information Technology and Senior Member of Technical Staff at Hill Associates, a telecommunications education and training firm. Gary is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), has a B.A. in Mathematics, an M.S. in Computer Science, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Computing Technology in Education.
Gary’s main areas of professional interest are computer and network forensics, information assurance, and TCP/IP and the Internet. He has been a technical adviser to the Vermont Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and Internet Crimes Task Forces since 1999, and is a member of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) and High Tech Crime Consortium (HTCC).
Gary is the co-author of two professional texts and over sixty articles, is a frequent speaker at industry events, and is on the editorial boards of the Journal of Digital Forensic Practice and the Journal of Digital Forensics, Security and Law.
Jonathan Rajewski is an instructor in the Computer & Digital Forensic group at Champlain College. Aside from his teaching responsibilities he is a member of the Vermont Internet Crimes Task Force serving numerous law enforcement and governmental entities. He has experience in helping clients with digital forensic litigation strategy and providing written and oral testimony. His high degree of professionalism and experience in the detection and prevention of white collar crime complements his ability to teach, manage and conduct digital forensic investigations.
He has served many high profile confidential clients and has worked alongside the Joint Terrorism Task Force and Federal Bureau of Investigation on several occasions. Jonathan has provided expert oral testimony, affidavits and reports for cases at the state, federal and international echelon. Jonathan consults and provides proven successful case strategy to clients and students on a daily basis.
Jonathan holds a B.S in Economic Crime Investigation and holds the following professional certifications: Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCe), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Jonathan is also a member of the following associations: ISFCE – International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners, ACFE – Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, HTCIA – High Technology Crime Investigation Association, HTCC – High Tech Crime Consortium, InfraGard – Federal Bureau of Investigation sponsored information sharing group and the International Botnet Taskforce – Global initiative to investigate Botnets.
