Champlain College Commencement

When should we arrive in Burlington?

Please review the schedule of events and determine the arrival day and time that works best for you, your family and guests.

How long is the ceremony?

Undergraduate: The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9. The main gate will open for guests at 9:00 a.m. The ceremony should conclude by noon. A reception on campus will follow the ceremony. All students, family members, faculty and staff are invited. Light refreshments will be served.

Master's: The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15. Seating in the tent for guests will open at 9:00 a.m. The ceremony should conclude around 11:30 a.m. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception will be held in the IDX Student Center.

I am unable to attend, when can I expect my diploma?

Both Undergraduate and Master's: If you indicated on your Application for Graduation that you will not attend the ceremony, you will be able to pick up your diploma in the Enrollment Service Center in Perry Hall during the week of May 11, 2015, for Undergraduate and the week of May 18, 2015, for Master's. If you are a December 2014 graduate, whether or not you plan to participate in Commencement, your diploma will be mailed to you by the end of March. Any May 2015 diplomas that have not been picked up, will be sent by certified mail between May 25 and June 19, 2015. Please check WebAdvisor to verify that we have your correct mailing address.

Will the Bookstore be open?

Yes, the bookstore will be open on May 9, from 9:00 a.m. - 2 p.m. The bookstore will also be open on May 15, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The bookstore is located in Durick Hall (174 South Willard Street)

Is the ceremony being streamed on the Champlain College website?

Undergraduate Only:  Yes

When do I have to move out of Champlain housing?

Students need to move out by noon, on May 10, 2015.
