Chittenden County Transportation Authority (CCTA) Bus

"After a daily 2.5 hour round trip commute for 13 years by car, I love the bus. Dependable, friendly, time to read and it's FREE!" Susan Chamberlain, Champlain Employee

CCTA is the public bus service for northwestern Vermont. It is headquartered in Chittenden County and also serves the surrounding counties.

All Champlain College faculty, staff and students can ride any CCTA bus anytime, anywhere, including the LINK Express routes for FREE. Just swipe your Champlain ID card through the fare box card reader, simple. If you need to take more than one bus to get to your destination, YOU MUST ask the driver for a transfer before you leave the bus.

Champlain College affiliates can also ride local and commuter Green Mountain Transportation Authority (GMTA) buses for FREE through our Unlimited Access Program. GMTA provides public transportation services in Washington County, Lamoille County, Franklin County, Grand Isle County, the Mad River Valley and the towns of Washington, Orange and Williamstown. Click here for a summary of GMTA routes and how they connect to CCTA routes.

All Champlain College employees who are riding the bus on a regular basis qualify for CATMA's Emergency Ride Home program.

There are CCTA Bus Map & Guides that provide you with specific route and schedule information. You can pick up a Bus Guide at various Champlain College campus locations; at or at CATMA.
