Renew Your Financial Aid

Returning students are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year in order to renew their financial aid. Please complete the form by April 1.

Students who complete the FAFSA will have their Champlain College scholarships renewed at the same level, provided they are enrolled in at least 12 credits. However, renewal of federal and state awards is contingent upon current law, the level of federal and state allocations, and the student meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirements.

Returning students who complete the FAFSA may be required to submit additional documentation, as requested by the Office of Financial Aid. Financial aid will not be awarded until all requested documentation is received and reviewed.

Completing the FAFSA

Complete the Renewal Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. Complete the entire student section and, if dependent, parent section of the form. Both the student and, if dependent, the parent must electronically sign the FAFSA before submission.
