S.O.S.: Sharing Our Stories Workshop

The S.O.S Workshop is an educational speaker series offered to students throughout the academic year that provides a unique perspective from both campus and community resources regarding health, safety, alcohol, and other drugs. Each workshop has a specific theme and new presenters that share their expertise and knowledge with our students.

S.O.S. 2013 Schedule:

*All sessions are located in Hauke Classroom 204 and take place from 3:30-5:00 PM.

  • October 21, 2013: Community Impact, Featuring Burlington Police Department and ACT 1.
  • November 18, 2013: Students in Recovery, Featuring members of the Collegiate Recovery Connection from University of Vermont
  • December 9, 2013: Health Effects, Featuring a medical health professional

Positive Decision-Making Workshop

The Positive Decision-Making workshop is a hands-on course where students get to explore their own ethical and moral reasoning, through a variety of discussions, videos, and scenarios. This course encourages students to think critically, and make positive decisions in their daily life.
