Summer Launch Programs

Summer Launch Program at Champlain College

Summer in Vermont. There's nothing like it.

While Vermont is famous for its winter activities, we all know the real fun is in the summer! Beautiful weather and a bounty of outdoor activities help make Vermont the perfect summer destination.

Join us this summer, and take the opportunity to hang out with future Champlain College classmates while enjoying the best of a Vermont summer.

We are planning three outstanding opportunities to bond with the Champlain community, to grow personally, and to have a rewarding experience that you'll always remember. Check out our programs below, and be sure to register for one (or all!) of our Champlain Summer Launch Programs.

Please Note: Registration is CLOSED for the Outdoor Adventure Program and Community Service in Montreal.

Champlain Ultimate Transition Experience

Wednesday, July 16 - Friday, July 18

Transitioning to college can be harder for some students than others for any number of reasons. This program will allow you to experience all aspects of college life while you work on honing the skills that will help you achieve success. You will spend three days living the complete residential, academic, and social experience. Part of your days will be filled with a mix of social skill-building experiences, and exploring all of the resources available to you on campus and in the community. The rest of your days will be spent participating in fun activities both on campus and in the community, allowing you to build social connections that will continue to grow when you return in the fall. Last summer a number of students with diagnosed learning challenges found this session very helpful. To register for the Ultimate Transition Experience, please call or email Skip Harris 802-651-5961, sharris@champlain.edu or Luke Lewis 802-651-5959, llewis@champlain.edu

"Summer Launch was a fantastic opportunity to make friends with other incoming students without the stress of trying to get to know people during orientation. I'm now a senior and I'm still friends with the people I met there." — David Pictor '14

"Summer launch at Champlain was a great experience because I got to make friendships with other students from my class before I got to Champlain. I met my roommate for my first year at the summer launch program that I did! I would recommend that every incoming student do a summer launch program before they get to Champlain." — Ethan Farmer '16

"It was great to be able to meet other incoming freshmen before Orientation. By the time classes started I already had a few friends and it made the transition period so much easier." — Olivia Pratt '14
