Biography

Judge Edward J. Cashman, of Essex Junction, Vermont, served 25 years on the Vermont Trial Court beginning in January of 1982 and retiring in April of 2007. 

Judge Cashman has taught legal courses at the National Judicial College on Community Based Courts, and on Restorative Justice Programs. He presented the annual criminal law updates for a number of years at Vermont's Judicial College.  He has also served as education consultant for the International War Crimes Tribunal in Bosnia. He presently teaches three law-related courses at Johnson State College and two courses in the Criminal Justice Program at Champlain College.
