Wang Canfa's achievements include
• Ph.D. from Beijing University, Visiting Scholar at Harvard University.
• Professor of Environmental Law at China University of Political Science and Law.
• Founding director of the Center of Legal Assistance for Pollution Victims (CLAPV)
• Chair of the Environmental Law Committee at the China Association for Environmental Sciences
• Standing Director and Vice-Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Resources Law at the China Lawyers Association
• Author of An Introduction to International Law on Animal Safety (2006), Case Studies on the Law for Environmental Resources Protection (2005), along with four other books and more than 70 articles.
• Awarded “the Outstanding Contributor to Environmental Protection” by People’s Net (2008, China), “Hero of Environment” by Time Magazine (2007, US), “Chinese National Green Person” by Chinese Ministry of Environment and The Natural Resources Commission of the National Congress (2005, China)
• Honored guest speaker at US Natural Resources Defense Council and Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (2007 US).
