After approximately a year of construction, Juniper Hall, located between Skiff Hall and Whiting, is completed and occupied with residents!
Juniper Hall (Res A) of the Res Tri project, is a 28,732 GSF residential structure, housing 90 sophomore students in double and single rooms. The project includes site improvements, existing utility upgrades, and new utility connections to the City infrastructure. The residence hall is four stories, including an occupied "attic" space. Interior spaces include a common room on every floor, laundry, a ski tuning room, a trash room and other spaces commonly found in state of the art residence halls. Exterior and site elements include a student patio, sitting walls and landscaping.
The college installed a geothermal heating and cooling system on this project. Champlain is committed to developing a "green" or "high efficiency" building and is currently seeking LEED Gold certification for this new building.
