Color imagery must be vivid, bright and sharp.
Color imagery must be adjusted in Photoshop to ensure quality.
Photography for print must be CYMK.
Photography for online must be RGB.

Black and White imagery must have contrast (deep blacks and bright whites), be sharp and vivid.
Black and White imagery must be adjusted in Photoshop to ensure quality.
It is preferred that Black and White imagery for print is CYMK, but may appear in Grayscale.
Photography for online must be RGB.

General Imagery

Campus and architectural imagery should have dynamic composition and sensitivity to the seasons of Vermont.
Campus and architectural imagery should avoid simple elevation compostions.
When showing people on campus it should not appear artificial.
Avoid posing students, faculty and staff for portraits.
When appropriate capture movement and motion - this supports the philosophy of being an agile and dynamic institution.

The Champlain College's photo database is a vast collection of photos taken for use in the College's marketing communications. Maintained by the Marketing Department. All photos taken are the property of Champlain College and may be used for Champlain College promotional purposes only. Inquiries, questions, or concerns about photo use should be directed to Tre Robertson at 860-2122.
