- Your FAFSA must
be AT the processor by this
date. If you mail the FAFSA you
should send the form in no later
than two weeks prior to the preference
date. If filing on-line, you should
file no later than one week in advance
of the preference date. If you submit
the FAFSA on-line on the preference
date, you should always keep a copy
of the print out to prove the date
that the form was submitted.
- Don't
confuse Champlain's preference date
with the federal deadline date.
The student has until the last day
of classes to receive federal aid.
Although missing the College's preference
date will not affect your federal
loans, Pell grant or VSAC grant
(if you are a Vermont student).
