To assist students and families in selecting a lender for their educational loans, Champlain College has selected lenders to consider based on a variety of criteria, including superior borrower benefits and customer service. Each year, we will review the list to make sure the lenders are meeting the expectations of Champlain and its borrowers.

Champlain considered several factors when constructing our lender lists; we have highlighted some of the factors below:

• Loan programs that offer no or low fees and superior borrower benefits to the student
• Timely and responsive processing with excellent customer service
• Ease of application process
• Service to borrowers regarding financial literacy and default prevention
• Source and stability of capital used in providing loans

Students and parents are asked to contact the Champlain Financial Aid Office whenever a lender provides unsatisfactory performance. Please note that you are not required to use one of these lenders. The Financial Aid Office will process your loan with any lender you choose. Choosing a lender other than those suggested by Champlain will not cause unnecessary certification delays.

Champlain College does not receive any revenue enhancements or inducements from any educational loan lenders.
