Professional Certificates in Management
Find an accessible entry into graduate coursework in management through one of our 15-credit certificate courses of study. Step up your grasp of business administration while you discern if pursuing an MBA is right for you.
Through our project-based approach, apply what you learn immediately to current workplace challenges and gain experience in addressing increasingly complex management issues.
Each certificate option requires five courses (3 credits each) and can be completed in five terms or less. Should you choose to pursue an MBA, apply credits earned to your degree requirements, as long as you earned a GPA of 3.0 or better.
Professional Graduate Certificate of Management Studies (15 credits)
Designed for those with a non-business undergraduate major the Certificate of Management Studies grounds you in management basics:
Required courses:
- MBA 501- Essentials of Applied Economics
- MBA 503 - Using Statistics for Business Decision Making
- MBA 505 - The Strategic Language of Business
- MBA 507 - Survey of Accounting for Managers
- MBA 515 - Aligning Mission and Values in a Global Environment (prerequisites for this course are MBA 501, MBA 503, MBA 505 and MBA 507)
Professional Graduate Certificate in Advanced Management (15 credits)
Designed for those with a business undergraduate major, as well as graduates of other Champlain College graduate programs, the Certificate in Advanced Management, covers more sophisticated topics and allows for electives in Managing Innovation in IT (MIT).
