Program Details
Champlain College has been educating digital forensic professionals since 2002 when it was one of the first tertiary institutions to offer an undergraduate degree in the field. Since that time Champlain faculty have been working closely with law enforcement and the private sector to ensure that the programs provided meet the needs of the industry. As a result of this close relationship, the Master of Science in Digital Forensic Management was launched in 2009. The goal of this program is to educate the next generation of leaders in management within the rapidly growing fields of Digital Investigation, Digital Forensics, Cyber Crime, eDiscovery and Computer Forensics.
Champlain College has a long history of professional education and believes in educating for the real world. To achieve that end, when recruiting instructors, a strong emphasis is placed on their professional experience. Our current faculty has a range of experience from both the law enforcement and private sector, including FBI agent, State’s Attorney, Police officers and corporate consultants.
The MS degree program in Digital Forensic Management has been developed for professionals already working in the field of digital forensics. Digital investigators, and others working in electronic or high-tech crime units, will be your classmates. As pioneers in this field, your fellow students — hailing from points all across the country — will have much to offer in terms of sharing experiences, advice and professional contacts.
Applications to the MSDFM are accepted year round, to begin in any of the three "start" terms (August, January, and May).
