Defining Healthcare Management
At Champlain College we define healthcare management, not as a general set of skills, but as an array of pertinent and practical abilities and knowledge that is intertwined with context-specific quality and process improvement, talent management, finance and information systems expertise. Courses such as Health Finance and Economics, Healthcare Information Systems, Strategic Human Resources Management, and Clinical Systems Management are examples from the curriculum that address the specific issues faced in today’s healthcare management environment.
