Online Structure:
Flexible scheduling to accommodate students carrying full or part-time credit load.
Format:
Combines convenience of online instructor-led scheduling (24/7 access to instruction and assignment; highly collaborative through discussion, chat and email) with face-to-face learning in one short Residency Experiences.
Course Duration:
8-week online terms (September, January and May)
Average class size:
10 students per course; maximum class size is 15 students

Degree Completion Time Frames:
Minimum under 1.5 years (two courses in six successive 8-week terms for 36 credits; maximum 6 years)
Residency
Students will participate in a 3-day residency during the first year of enrollment in the graduate program.
The M.Ed. residency will be held in conjunction with a national conference. The plans for the 2011/2012 academic year include two conference options: the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida (Nov. 2-5, 2011) or NAEYC Professional Development Institute ("PDI") in Indianapolis, Indiana (June 10-13, 2012).
Graduate Commencement Ceremony:
Annually in May; Champlain College, Burlington, Vermont
