Campus Activities
Kayos
Kayos is the annual college fair put on at Champlain College Mumbai/THiNC. Each year the focus shifts but it is meant to provide an outlet for the competitive juices of the various Mumbai colleges as well as to provide the opportunity for our students to plan and organize a major event. Past themes have included a battle of the bands, competitive electronic gaming, sports, drama, music and debate competitions.
Field Trips
Champlain College strongly believes that it is imperative that students ground their learning in the world of work. Recent field trips have included industrial visits to the Amul milk cooperative, Sulu Winery, TI Cycles, Gandhi’s Satyagraha Ashram, and the Maharashtra State Prison.
Tempting Tuesdays
Each Tuesday students in the Hospitality program run a restaurant on campus. The cuisine changes weekly with great continental, Mexican, and Indian dishes. The students do everything themselves from planning, purchasing, preparing, to serving. It is one of the great campus delights!
Exchange Program
Each year two students are chosen to spend a semester on the Vermont campus. This is a competitive endeavor, eagerly sought after by the students. For those of you in India, it’s an opportunity to compete for an opportunity to travel and study overseas. Vermont students will have the chance to get to know some truly fine examples Indian students…and for U.S. students who plan to study in Mumbai, you will already have some friends that you met back home, the Mumbai exchange students that were in you classes in Burlington!
