Champlain College has a wide variety of Intramural Sports offered to all students. All skill levels are welcome and are encouraged to come join the fun. All Intramural's are offered weekly which allow students to form close interpersonal relationships amongst their peers as well as staff. Each week students must display a valid Champlain College ID to participate. All intramurals are co-ed and meet in the Argosy Gymnasium unless otherwise specified. P.E. Games - Sunday (IDX ARGOSY GYMNASIUM)

Every Sunday evening from 7:00-10:00p.m.

Table Tennis - Monday (IDX ARGOSY GYMNASIUM)

Every Monday from 6:00-8:00p.m.

Basketball - Monday (IDX ARGOSY GYMNASIUM)

At the start of each semester students who are interested in participating in intramural basketball come forth and create teams. We will also assist students who are interested in playing but are unable to build a team. Staff and faculty from Champlain College create a team and play against the students. A schedule of games is then created, and teams play amongst each other in hopes to become champions and hoist the Intramural Championship Trophy! This is one of our most competitive and popular intramurals. This is a co-ed sport. Basketball takes place on Monday nights from 8:30-11:00p.m. in the gym located in the IDX Student Life Center.

Dodgeball - Tuesday (IDX ARGOSY GYMNASIUM)

Every Tuesday from 5:30-8:00p.m.

Soccer - Tuesday (OFF CAMPUS)

At the start of each semester students interested in participating in intramural soccer create teams to spar off against other Champlain students. We will also assist those students who are interested in playing but are unable to create a team. Transportation will be offered to students via school vans. Students will play at the Far Post Clubs' indoor soccer field, located in Essex, Vermont at the Champlain Valley Fair Grounds. A tournament will be held at the closing of each semester to see which team will be the next Champlain Intramural Soccer Champions!! Soccer takes place on Tuesday nights from 10:00p.m.-12:00a.m.

Volleyball - Wednesday (IDX ARGOSY GYMNASIUM)

Every Wednesday evening from 5:30-8:00p.m. students gather in the gym located in the IDX Student Life Center to play pick-up volleyball. Teams are made weekly depending on the number of students.

Floor Hockey - Wednesday (IDX ARGOSY GYMNASIUM)

Every Wednesday evening from 8:30-11:00p.m. students gather in the gym located in the IDX Student Life Center to play pick-up floor hockey. Teams are made weekly depending on the number of students. All equipment is provided.

Ultimate Frisbee - Thursday (IDX ARGOSY GYMNASIUM)

Every Thursday evening from 5:30-8:00p.m. students gather either in the gym located in the IDX Student Life Center or on the Aiken Law located in the center of campus (weather permitting). Ultimate Frisbee is fun and competative sport that students enjoy on a weekly basis.

Tag Rugby-Thursday (IDX ARGOSY GYMNASIUM)

Tag rugby is a non-contact sport which allows students to learn the game of rugby as well as how to work well on a team. The current Champlain College rugby coach, from Wales, is there to assist players every step of the way. Tag rugby takes place from 8:30-10:00p.m. in the gym located in the IDX Student Life Center.

Pick-up Basketball - Friday (IDX AROGSY GYMNASIUM)

Every Friday from 4:00-7:00p.m. students gather in the gym located in the IDX Student Life Center to play basketball. Students come and go at their leisure. Students separate themselves into different teams depending on the number the students and play either half or full court games.

Recreational Sports

Recreational Ice Hockey - Sunday Afternoon Games

Champlain's ice hockey team is created at the beginning of each semester. They play games on Sunday evenings at one of the three local rinks in Burlington and the surrounding towns- C. Douglas Cairns Arena, located in S. Burlington, Leddy Park Arena, located in Burlington, and Essex High School Arena, located in Essex. Champlains hockey team plays through the Full Stride league. Schedules are posted at the beginning of each semester.

Recreational Lacrosse - Thursday Night Games

Champlain's lacrosse team is created at the beginning of each semester. The team practices one night a week in the Argosy Gymnasium and play games on thursday night. They play their games at The Field House in Shelburne, a beautiful indoor faculity that has a highly competitive and fun league. Students are encoraged to create a team to play with other lacrosse enthusiasts from across the county. Transportation is provided for all students needing a ride.
