Scholarships for 2004-2005

Two scholarships for students in either the Mass Communication or Broadcasting program are being offered for next year. They will be awarded in April 2005 and applied to tuition for the 2005-2006 academic year.

Hall Communication Radio Scholarship -- $500 scholarship. Scholarship funds will be awarded to the individual who produces the best public service announcement (PSA) appropriate for transmission over public radio airways as judged by a group of professors and Hall Communication broadcasters.
To apply, please give a copy of the PSA script with your name, current phone, e-mail and current address to Nancy Kerr in Cushing 100C by March 29.

The Vermont Association of Broadcasters -- $10,000 scholarship. Scholarship funds will be awarded to several Mass Communication or Broadcasting students who show promise in the broadcast field.
To apply, you must have a grade point average of 3.0 or better, submit an application with a letter of recommendation from two Champlain faculty and show evidence of work (written or electronic) in the broadcasting field. Completed applications are due to Nancy Kerr in Cushing 100C by March 29.

Student award recipients will be notified and invited to receive their awards at the Media Communication Awards held during the second week of April.
