- C&DF is managed in close coordination with Champlain’s Criminal Justice program and the Champlain College Center for Digital Investigation (C3DI), reflecting the hybrid nature of the field.
- You’ll learn about real-life environments from industry experts. Our full-time faculty members have extensive industry experience in addition to their academic credentials.
- Adjunct faculty members are professionals who currently work in their respective fields, providing important supplementary teaching, experience and insights. One of the strengths of the program is this real-world relevance that Champlain’s practitioner faculty bring to the classroom.
- Internship opportunities provide invaluable experience. You’ll apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to actual cases, organizations and people.
- Learn to design a method for conducting computer and/or network equipment analysis and related data files. All classes include individual research projects that give you experience in conducting research, writing reports and giving presentations.
- Learn to provide input to business and IT managers to develop computer usage policies consistent with criminal procedure, with particular attention to user privacy.
- You will also learn how to effectively communicate the results of a computer/network forensic analysis.
