Dees: Radiography Program Director
e-mail:

I have been with
the Champlain College Radiography
Program since 1991 and have been the
Program Director since 2000. We offer
students the opportunity to develop
diverse skills so they can best take
advantage of the exciting growth in
Radiography. Students’ pass
rate on the American Registry Exam
required upon graduation and the success
stories of our graduates are the best
measures of the success of this program.
Take a moment to read the current
student and alumni sections of this
Web page. It is my greatest joy to
observe students growing both personally
and professionally as they proceed
through this program. I am most proud
of the work that continues on after
students graduate.

Kathy Newton Whiting,
B.S., R.T.(R), RDMS: Clinical Coordinator
After
one year as a part-time faculty member,
Kathy joined Champlain’s Radiography
program as the Clinical Coordinator
in 2001. Prior to joining the Radiography
faculty, she supervised Radiography
students in a hospital setting.
“I started
my career as a radiographer in a local
community hospital and spent the next
20 years in that setting. Now that
I am on the classroom side of the
program, it is an even greater pleasure
to see how the students develop. New
technologies and equipment are a constant
part of this career. I like the fact
that I am always learning from my
students as well as teaching them.
Being a part of our students’
successes as they go from the positioning
lab to performing exams on patients
to working on their own after graduation
gives me great pride.”
