Katie Paquette: '04.

Katie is completing an internship at Champlain Vocational Services, a community based vocational, life skills, and socialization program for adults with developmental disabilities.

"I always knew that I wanted to go to a small college and study in the human services field. Champlain College has a great social work program. It allows students to do internships in the community with any population group with whom they choose to work. For me, my internship at Champlain Vocational Services has been such a wonderful and positive experience. I have met some amazing people including both staff members and agency consumers. I have learned a lot about the field in such a short period of time. Working at CVS for the past two semesters and taking the courses at Champlain College has prepared me for my future. Champlain College has taught me a lot about myself, and where I want to go in life. The faculty is helpful and supportive. When I graduate, I plan to work in direct social services for awhile before attending Graduate school."
