Program Overview
- Program Director: Laurel Bongiorno, Ph.D.
- Structure: Flexible scheduling to accommodate students carrying full- or part-time credit load
- Format: Combines convenience of online instructor-led scheduling (24/7 access to instruction and assignment; highly collaborative through discussion, chat and email) with face-to-face learning in one short Residency Experience.
- Annual Cycle: Five terms per year; courses start in August, October, January, March, and May
- Course Duration: 8-week online terms
- Required Credit Hours: 36 credit hours
- Areas of Specialization: Teaching or Administration
- Degree Completion Time Frames:
- Minimum: under 1.5 years (two courses in seven successive 8-week terms for 36 credit hours)
- Maximum: 6 years
- Residency Location: One required in conjunction with a national education conference during the first year of the program.
- Graduate Commencement Ceremony: Annually in May, Champlain College, Burlington, VT
