Learning Outcomes

You’ll complete the Champlain MFA program with an amazing network of friends, classmates and company representatives as well as many marketable skills. Upon completion of the Champlain MFA you’ll be able to:

  • Deconstruct, evaluate, employ and re-assess graphic and animated image-making best practices such as color, form, space and time as well as best practices in interactivity design and networked interactions
  • Evaluate, employ and improve upon programming or scripting languages to achieve project goals
  • Apply discipline-specific research methodology to create media solutions
  • Identify and evaluate underpinnings of human communication, competitiveness and collaboration
  • Identify and critique social impacts of technological innovation and communication
  • Work collaboratively in multigenerational, virtual and cross-functional team environments
  • Employ leadership skills in a variety of ways to achieve project goals
  • Build interactive, network-enabled media applications and virtual experiences that invent concepts for self-expression and group collaboration, solve complex problems and build on diverse technology tools, platforms and devices
  • Write and use oral presentation skills at a professional level to explain development of new communication media processes and products
  • Exhibit meta-cognitive strategies, and explain the learning and personal growth that came from those experiences
