Champlain Theatre to Present 'Humble Boy'

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Champlain Theatre will begin its 2012 season with Humble Boy, a fresh, new comedy by Charlotte Jones about love, death, redemption and bee-keeping.
Directed by Joanne Farrell, the show runs Feb. 1-4 and 9-11 at 8 p.m. at the Champlain College Alumni Auditorium. The cast includes local actors Seth Jarvis, Monica Callan, Mark Alan Gordon, Lawrence Connolly, Alex Hudson and Kelly Jane Thomas. Original music composed and performed by Eric Pearson.
"Humble Boy" tells the story of 35-year-old Felix Humble, a Cambridge astrophysicist in search of a unified field theory. Following the sudden death of his father, Felix returns to his middle-England home and his difficult and demanding mother, and soon realizes that his search for unity must include his own chaotic home life.
Tickets are $20 for general admission, $10 for Champlain College faculty and staff, and Champlain students are free with a Champlain ID. Tickets will be available at the door. Call 802 865-5468 for information.
