Judges for the third annual Champlain College Elevator Pitch Competition, sponsored by KeyBank, gathered at the Aiken Hall Morgan Room for a reception prior to the evening's main event. It is joint presentation of BYOBiz, Career Services, The Center for Service and Civic Engagement, the Oral Communications Lab and the Development Office.

Among the judges this year:

  • Debby Bergh, Trustee Emeritus, and Owner of Debby Bergh Consulting and Coaching
  • Scott D. Carpenter, Trustee and President, KeyBank (lead sponsor of the Elevator Pitch)
  • Jeff Crowe, Chairman of the Board, Landstar Systems, Inc.
  • Mary Evslin, Champlain College BYOBiz Executive Advisory Board, and Entrepreneur (Co-Founder ITXC)
  • Christine Stiller, Champlain College Parent ‘12
  • Lisa Trubiano, Head of Consultant Relations, Dwight Asset Management

Serving as the "suits" for the presentations in the elevator:

  • Robert Bloch, director of Champlain's BYOBiz Program
  • Kyle Dodson, director of the Champlain Center for Service & Civic Engagement
  • Moneer Greenbaum, senior development officer for Champlain Development and Alumni Relations

Scorekeepers from the Accounting Firm of Binch and Mona:

  • Dave Mona, assistant professor of accounting at Champlain
  • David Binch, director of Vermont Information Technology Center.

The emcee for the evening was Tim Kavanagh,'86, of WCAX-TV and owner of Samson Productions.
