It's count-down time!  We look forward to welcoming you to the 2009 Fall Internship Fair which will be held in two spaces on campus on Monday, Nov. 2, from 2 until 5 p.m. ~ the Hauke Conference Room and Fireside Lounge of the IDX Student Life Center.   A list of participating organizations appears at the end of this message with their web site URLs.

A reminder to students:

Time to polish up your resume ~ dress to impress ~ practice your handshake and your "pitch" to introduce yourself to employers,  research organizations you may wish to pursue.  Bring a copy of your spring semester schedule if you'll be looking to line up an internship for academic credit.  Even if you are not at a point in your academic career when an internship is required, this is an excellent opportunity to begin building professional contacts for the future.  You'll also learn about the qualities employers are seeking when bringing new team members on board.

For Champlain Alumni: In this challenging economic climate, a post-graduation internship is a great way to build experience and give yourself a competitive edge.  We'd love to see you at the Fair.

Staff and Faculty: Employers always comment how impressive it is that faculty and staff carve out time to visit with them at our Fairs.  This is one of the things that separates Champlain from other schools.  About a dozen of the Fair reps are Champlain College alumni who will enjoy the opportunity to connect with their favorite professor or staff member.  They are marked on the Fair handout with the designation (A) after their name.
