The Kids In Technology and Science, K.I.T.S. event was held Nov. 11 at the Argosy Gym. More than 200 middle school students from eight schools attended the day-long event at Champlain College.
More than 30 Champlain College Information Technology & Science Division students were on hand to lead groups and help students build computers and robots. Many members of the faculty and staff worked side-by-side with the students to create a great hands-on fun day for the students as they learned how to build computers, build Lego Mindstorms NXT robots and program them to do things, learn that mathematics is fun, how hydrogen fuel cell cars operate, and how computer & digital forensics is used to solve crimes.

The Participating schools are:

  • Essex Middle School
  • Hunt Middle School
  • Mt. Abraham
  • Folsom School from South Hero, Vt.
  • Edmunds Middle School
  • Shelburne Community School
  • St. Albans City School
  • South Burlington (Tuttle Middle School)
