Update: 8/17: Follow the conference Tweets using #vhra

The Vermont Human Resource Association (VHRA) will hold a day-long conference on using social media tools in human resources, recruitment and career development on Monday, Aug, 16, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at Champlain College's Hauke Conference Center, 375 Maple St., Burlington.
On the agenda:
• Jennifer McClure, president of Unbridled Talent on "The Case for Using Social Media as a Human Resources Professional."
• Panel discussion with local experts on leveraging social media from the perspective of employers and job candidates
• Workshops on using LinkedIn and other professional social media tools
• How to creating online personal profiles and company pages
• How to use Twitter for job postings
• The legal side of social media and the workplace.
Advance registration is $60 for VHRA members and Champlain College employees and $75 for others. Registration includes lunch. For registration forms and a detailed schedule, email VHRA@champlain.edu. Deadline for registration is Aug. 9.
