The Sophomore Symposium "Reaching New Heights" was held Sunday afternoon at Champlain College with keynote speaker Alison Levine and a series of workshops presented by staff and faculty.

More than 500 Champlain College sophomore took part in the afternoon event. The day began with a leadership breakfast with Levine, who summitted Mt. Everest in May, 2010 and was the team captain of the first American Women's Everest Expedition. Following Levine's talk, a series of more than 30 workshops on technology, careers, planning for work and major-specific workshops were held across campus. LEAD, or Life Experience and Action Dimension, is a program unique to Champlain College offering students a four-year program of experiences designed to develope practical skills that will be useful throughout life.
