Newspaper around Vermont announced that faculty member Robin Lane was among those appointed to the 11-member Vermont Telecommunications Authority board, with the goal of providing high-speed Internet and cell phone access to all Vermonters.

Law Enforcement Technology
Faculty member Gary Kessler and the Center for Digital Investigation have been featured in a July 2007 trade journal article about cell phone forensics called “The new frontier in digital evidence.”

Faculty member Elaine Young is featured in an August 2007 article about “new media for savvy business owners” in this business magazine, which mentions Champlain’s one-credit online courses on using new online tools.

Professor Willard Sterne Randall is a featured expert in a 12-part series called “THE REVOLUTION,” which is re-airing this summer on The History Channel. He was interviewed at length at Van Cortlandt Manor in Bronxville, N.Y. -- one of the few surviving 17th-century buildings in New York City.

As part of CCTV’s Media Literacy Series, multimedia and film faculty member Karen Klove was part of a discussion on June 27, 2007, about violence in the media.

On June 20, Communication & Creative Media Dean Jeff Rutenbeck was quoted in the Arizona Republic in regards to candidates using the Internet.

A nationally televised public television special about Alexander Hamilton airing on May 14 included Champlain expert Willard Sterne Randall, the author of a biography on this controversial, yet gifted, statesman.
