Third Party Study Abroad
Please note that not all programs offered by our partners are approved -- only the ones on the official map (above). These offer you a wide range of countries, types of programs and academic content. We also help you with the course approval petition so you know before you leave which courses you can expect will be accepted by Champlain College upon your return. Please note that tuition and housing are paid directly to Champlain College. Board fees may be paid to Champlain College or directly to the provider, depending upon program requirements. All other fees must be paid directly to the program provider.
In rare circumstances, a student may be approved to study at an institution or program not on the list. If you are considering this option, please speak with the Assistant Director for Study Abroad, Noah Goldblatt, who will guide you through the petition process. You should be prepared to provide an academic rationale to your Dean for why your proposed program of study is integral to your academic progress. Please note that the deadline for submitting an application for study on a non-approved program is September 15th for the following spring and February 15th for the following fall.
International Internships
Some of the programs on the approved list offer internships as part of an academic program of other course work. These are the only opportunities for combining and international internship with course work during the same study abroad semester. If you wish to arrange a "stand alone" international internship (without attending other courses at a local institution), please speak with your Dean about this process. You will be expected to provide an academic rationale for you proposal and how it fits into your academic program. Your international internship must be approved by the Division by September 15th for spring and February 15th for the summer or fall.
Exchange Programs
Champlain College's Exchange Programs allow Burlington students to spend a semester immersed in another culture as they live and study at one of our exchange institutions. This also an excellent opportunity to diversify our Burlington campus as we welcome students from our exchange partners for a semester or full academic year.

France
ESC Rennes School of Business in Rennes
In France, Champlain students study at the ESC Rennes School of Business, a college of some 450 students located a short 10-minute walk from the center of Rennes.
Rennes, situated in Brittany, is regarded as one of the most appealing places to live in all of France -- and that's saying a lot. It's also just two hours from both Paris and London.
