In addition to serving as a faculty member for Champlain College's Health Care Administration and HIT programs, Dr. Thomas-Evans has over 20 years of professional experience in business, healthcare, technology, and education. She works with entrepreneurs to start, develop, and grow a wide range of businesses and served as the project director for a nationally acclaimed micro lending business initiative modeled on Muhammad Yunus' internationally recognized Grameen Bank.
Additionally, her professional background includes working with the U.S. Department of the Army to upgrade financial information systems; providing managerial and IT consulting services to military and public health care organizations; serving as a small business consultant to the U.S. Small Business Administration; and, serving as the Division Statistician and Acting Chief Budget Analyst for the U.S. Army's 8th Infantry Division Europe, and Supervisory Contracting Officer for the Department of Justice's Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Trellany's areas of research interest are business, leadership, management, health care, and technology. Dr. Thomas-Evans has written and developed numerous graduate and undergraduate courses in her areas of interest. She holds a DBA from North Central University, an MBA from Pfeiffer University, an MHA from Pfeiffer University, and a BS in Biology from S.C. State University.
