New Student Orientation: Aug. 24-26, 2012

Getting off to a strong start is an important part of your college experience, and our Orientation program is designed to help you start off on the right foot. Interested in meeting new friends, touring the campus, and learning about the services and opportunities that Champlain offers? Then Orientation is for you!
An online registration form will be set up July 1st, so be sure to check back and register here for our August Orientation Program. Have your credit card ready when you register, there is a $60 fee for Orientation. This fee will cover lunch for families, meals for the weekend for all student's attending and many different fun activities that student's will participate in, including a cruise on Lake Champlain, hiking, and two comedians.
Families are welcome to participate in our Orientation program for much of the day on Friday. Families should plan to help move their student in and get them settled. Move in begins at 8am on August 26th. Students and families should go directly to their assigned Residence Hall and get settled in.
Once settled in come by the Orientation Check In table in the Hauke Courtyard to pick up your student and family packets including the weekend schedules.
- Lunch will be served starting at 11:00 am in the Hauke Courtyard and runs through 1:00pm so stop by anytime.
- At 1:00pm Student Orientation officially begins with the President's Welcome for all students and their families.
- At 1:45pm families and students will go their separate ways to participate in programming designed to fit their needs.
- Family programming will wrap up at about 4pm and students will be busy with Orientation events, meetings, and social gatherings for the remainder of the weekend.
We'd love the opportunity to welcome you to campus and see that you get started on the right foot. More details to follow. Please feel free to contact Lisa Mazzariello at mazzariello@champlain.edu with questions regarding Orientation.
