SIGNATURE PARENT EVENTS ON CAMPUS
First-Year Orientation: August 22-24, 2014
All new students are encouraged to attend Orientation, where they will meet their academic program faculty and advisors, learn about important services and opportunities available throughout the academic year, and begin to make new and lasting friendships. Family Weekend: September 26-28, 2014
Each year we plan a rewarding weekend for you to spend time with your student on campus. During Family Weekend, you will be able to meet Faculty members and Program Directors, learn about the many opportunities and resources available to help your student succeed, connect with other parents and the Office of Parent Relations, and enjoy the best that Vermont has to offer. Don Laackman’s Inauguration: October 17-18, 2014
All parents are invited to attend the inauguration of Don Laackman, Champlain College’s eighth President. Look for details shortly after the academic year begins.
Holiday Party: December 4, 2014
Parents are invited to attend the annual holiday party on campus hosted by the Burlington Alumni Chapter. Enjoy complimentary beer, wine, cheese, and dessert as you connect with fellow parents, local alumni, Champlain faculty & staff, and graduating seniors. This is also an opportunity to help our students begin to build their professional networks.
Family Ski Weekend: February 2015
Hit the slopes with us, and enjoy a weekend of winter fun with your student. Dates and details will be forthcoming before the winter break.
Commencement: May 9, 2015
