Where is the FREE overnight parking lot?

The Gilbane secure off-site overnight parking lot is located on Lakeside Avenue in Burlington, off Pine Street. The Burlington Dept. of Public Works is on the corner of Pine/Lakeside. The entrance to Gilbane is on the left.

What if an emergency arises and I need to get to my car when the shuttle isn't running?

All students who register for a Zone 6 permit will be automatically enrolled in CATMA's Emergency Ride Home program and will receive a CATMA Commute Smart Card. The card includes instructions on how to get a FREE taxi ride to your car when shuttles aren't running.

Can I park on campus on the weekend?

Yes, you can park on campus from 4pm on Friday thru 8am on Monday.

Do I need a permit? Where do I get permit?

Permits for the Gilbane lot are FREE. You must register your car online at www.champlain.edu for a Zone 6 permit. ANY vehicles without a permit will be ticketed or towed.

Where do I park at Gilbane?

Look for the "Permit Parking Only" sign. Parking is in the first 4 rows north of the Jersey barriers (in front of the City of Burlington PARC & Ride lot).

How do I get back and forth between the Gilbane lot and Champlain?

Take a FREE shuttle by simply showing your Champlain College ID. shuttle service provided by Mountain Transit. Board the shuttle at the Champlain College shuttle sign in the Gilbane lot. Late night and weekend service also provided for FREE.
