Student Budgeting
We
surveyed our student tour guides to
try to estimate a reasonable amount
for weekly spending money. They came
up with $25-30 which
included snacks, pizza, laundry and
a movie. This is not a requirement
by any means, but instead an estimate
to help you gauge costs.
The Champlain
Cash Card acts like a debit card,
and is an easy way for your child
to manage their money. Many off-campus
businesses accept the Cash Card as
a valid payment form.
Parent Budgeting
Tuition is billed
in two semesterly installments, one
in June and the other in November.
However, we do offer a monthly payment
option provided by Tuition Management
Systems (TMS). This interest-free
monthly payment option allows you
to meet all or part of the academic
year’s expenses in ten equal
monthly payments, from May 15 to February
15. Since costs or financial aid may
change, the TMS plan is completely
flexible. The only cost for this service
is a $53 annual enrollment fee. For
more information, visit www.afford.com
or call (800) 722-4867.
Student Employment
Opportunities
Part-time employment
opportunities, unrelated to Financial
Aid eligibility, are available both
on- and off-campus. Postings are frequently
updated in the Career
Services Office in Durick Hall
and on our campus Web site. If your
child has a work-study award, please
refer to the information you received
with your Financial Aid Award letter
for placement procedures.
Our Career
Services Office is available for
students throughout their four years
here. Each first-year student has
a Career Services Office advisor assigned
to him or her. Students are strongly
encouraged to utilize the office as
early as possible in their academic
careers.
