Meet Our Staff
Kyle Dodson, Director
Kyle believes that being an "engaged citizen" is our highest calling and he loves that he gets to spend his days thinking about, and helping to inspire and develop engaged citizens. Kyle was formerly a public elementary school Principal in Dorchester, MA. He is incredibly passionate about urban public Pre-K-12 education and issues concerning equity and access for all students, regardless of race or socio-economic status.
Maggie Melvin,Assistant Director
Maggie's passions for both service and photography helped fuel her studies in Anthropology at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, VT. She uses her unique way of understanding, documenting and engaging with the world around her as she supports students at Champlain in their own pursuits of being engaged citizens. Another of Maggie's passions is traveling and she has loved the opportunity to lead students on service trips to Virginia, Tanzania and Uganda. She is excited to reach out to new students and help connect them with their local and global communities.
Ale Rodriguez, AmeriCorps *VISTA
Ale (ah-lay) attended Boston College as a Philosophy and Sociology major, concentrating on issues of social justice and human rights. Her interest in social justice was inspired by growing up in Mexico City, one of the largest cities in the world, that is also home to pervasive poverty and social and economic inequality. Ale has a passion for food, travel, sports, and meeting new people. At the Center, her job is to coordinate the Tutoring and Mentoring Programs. Feel free to reach out to her and get involved!
