Judging For Reel

A panel of Celebrity Judges* has graced us with their expertise and agreed to come down from the mountain long enough to tell us which three For Reel competition videos are the best. They will select the Winner as well as First and Second Runners-up.

The wideos will also be shown to thousands of prospective Champlain College undergraduates (aka "high school kids"). The prospective students will then vote on the People's Choice Winner (it could be you!).

Cash Money Prizes

• Ultimate Winner: Number One—$1,000 US Dollars
• Second Place —$500 USD
• Third Place — $250 USD
• The People's Choice — this one's a secret

Criteria/Helpful hints/What the judges will be looking for

• Engaging, fun-to-watch videos that convey something about Champlain's specialness
• Don't worry too much about high production quality—these are intended to be viewed on the Internet
• Showing you and your friends skiing or snowboarding is nice, but will not necessarily get you a prize
• Funny is good, but humiliating is bad. For example, depicting some hilarious habit of your roommate's that they would never want the world to know about is taboo.

*Note: "Celebrity" is a term used to describe anyone whom you may've heard of or whose job title sounds really impressive.

**double note: Champlain reserves the right to alter the finalist judging format if less than 20 submissions are received. Prizes will still be awarded.
