Champlain College Summit: Building Partnerships for a Thriving Workforce
As Champlain College students and faculty head into the final quarter of the undergraduate academic year, we pause for a moment to update the community on developments from our August 2011 Summit: "Building Partnerships for a Thriving Workforce."
Several prototypes — possible solutions to Vermont's workforce challenges — were developed the Summit and have been gaining momentum over the course of the past few months. Since the summit we have been gathering more data, and building possible alliances in order to make these prototypes a reality. Click on the headings below for a description of the model developed during the two-day summit as well as a progress report on each.
- Lifelong Engagement
- People Opportunity Matching & Champlain as a Strategic Business Resource
- Toppling the Ivory Tower
- Embedded Learning
More detailed information about the prototypes may be found on the "Post Summit" page.
You are welcome to read The Summit book (below), a picture book and narrative describing the Summit if you were unable to join us in August or you simply want to refresh your memory about the extraordinary two-day event
