Roller Coaster Extravaganza

Tuesday, June 26 – Thursday, June 28

Thrill seekers welcome! Join fellow first-year students for a two day trip where you'll build new friendships while exploring some exciting summer activities. Spend your first day riding roller coasters at the Great Escape amusement and water park, followed by setting up camp and enjoying a jazz band under the stars. The next day will include a steamboat ride around Lake George before packing up to head back to Burlington for more fun activities on Champlain's Campus. Don't miss out on this exciting summer adventure!

Outdoor Adventure Program

Tuesday, July 10 – Thursday, July 12

A small group of first-year students will spend three days on a backcountry retreat at a wilderness lodge, building long-lasting friendships with fellow students. Activities include a beginner/intermediate hike, games, and fun opportunities for getting connected. You'll develop bonds and create friendships that will last well beyond your four years at Champlain. Our Outdoor Adventure Program is a great way to begin your Champlain College Experience. We hope you'll join us!

Champlain Ultimate Transition Experience

Wednesday, July 11 – Friday, July 13

Transitioning to college can be harder for some students than others for any number of reasons. Some students need extra help developing social skills, time management, and study skills. This program will allow you to experience all aspects of college life while you work on honing the skills that will help you achieve success. You will spend three days living the complete residential, academic, and social experience. Part of your days will be filled with a mix of skill-building classes, such as learning time management and organization, and exploring all of the resources available to you on campus and in the community. The rest of your days will be spent participating in fun activities both on campus and in the community, allowing you to build social connections that will continue to grow when you return in the fall. Last summer a number of students, some with diagnosed learning challenges and some without, found this session very helpful.

Vermont Bike Tour

Tuesday, July 17– Thursday, July 19

Join fellow first-year students for a bike tour of Vermont and take in the sights and sounds of the breathtaking biking trails of the Champlain Islands. No expert bike skills necessary! We'll tour what is known as a cyclist's paradise of rolling farmlands, historic sites and views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. During the 3 days you'll experience local food, the infamous Church Street in Burlington, and all that Champlain's beautiful city has to offer. Best of all, you'll develop bonds and create connections that will last well beyond your four years at Champlain.

Community Service in Montreal

Tuesday, July 24 – Thursday, July 26

Come learn about Champlain's commitment to community service. Depending on the need, we will be volunteering with a local non-profit organization in Montreal. This Summer Launch program is a fun filled, hands-on opportunity where you will build relationships with other incoming students, experience a sense of accomplishment that comes when you commit to giving back to the community, and have the opportunity to get a local's view of a world-class cosmopolitan city. We will also tour Champlain's own Montreal Campus where you may decide to study abroad! PLEASE NOTE: PASSPORT IS REQUIRED
