Special Programs

The Communication and Creative Media Division is involved in many special programs and community relationships, all of which provide meaningful educational and professional opportunities for students.

Champlain College Young Writers Conference (CCYW) — A weekend-long writing workshop for dedicated young writers, CCYW gathers more than 100 high school students from around the Northeast (and as far away as California) to participate in intensive workshops in fiction, poetry, song writing, creative nonfiction, performance theatre, and documentary film production. Conference participants exchange and critique manuscripts, participate in readings from established writers, and make new friends for life.
