The Systems Administration specialization focuses on network administration from small companies to the corporate level. Students who complete this specialization will be able to design, implement, analyze, maintain and secure an enterprise-level network information system and its components.
Throughout the program, students use hands-on lab opportunities to gain proficiency in systems administration functions, networks and network services configurations, security from desktop to enterprise, as well as LAN and WAN technology and protocols.
Students in this specialization will take the CNIS base curriculum, plus the following courses:
- NET 230 - Telecommunications
- NET 335 - Routers
- NET 330 - Network Design
- NET 360 - Linux/Unix Systems Administration II
or NET 350 - Windows Server Administration II - SEC 420 - The Business of Information Security
