Global Perspective

Same College, Same Approach to Education, Same Champlain—
Just Located in Different Countries
We encourage every student to spend at least one semester studying abroad. We believe a study abroad experience is the best and quickest way for most undergraduates to recognize the complexity of the world and to come to appreciate the validity and power of other cultural narratives.
No matter what your major, taking a semester at one of Champlain’s two international campuses will work seamlessly with the other coursework on your transcript. Courses at our international campuses are interdisciplinary and applicable to Champlain’s professionally focused majors and areas of specialization.
Champlain College Montreal
With Canada being the largest trading partner of the United States and Montreal being one of the world’s leading multimedia cities as well as a dynamic business and design center, living on our Champlain College Montreal campus will give you a unique international perspective on the evolving workplace and the career essentials needed to become a global professional.
The experiential course structure will take you beyond the classroom walls and out into the city. In a class on international trading, for example, you’ll learn about aspects of importing, and during the next class, you’ll find yourself down at the port as the cranes unload the vessels—you’ll see what the logistics are and how it really happens on the ground.
Because Montreal is a global center for gaming, graphic design and international business, we have tailored several courses to these specialties. General education courses, including cultural immersion through the arts, encourage students to interact with the local community.
Champlain College opened its Montreal campus in September 2007, and it has quickly become a favorite study abroad destination. In addition to securing the beautiful facilities situated in an ideal downtown location, we’ve been able to attract outstanding professional practitioners from the Montreal education and business communities to teach and mentor our students.
Champlain College Dublin

Third-Party International Study Programs
If you’re interested in an experience abroad in other parts of the world, Champlain’s Office of International Education will work with you to find the right program. Champlain students may choose from a select group of approved study abroad program providers and exchange partners. Depending on their major, students going on these programs may study in Australia, New Zealand or many countries in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
