Program Competencies

Upon completion of the Champlain College bachelor's degree program in International Business, a graduate will be able to:

  • Integration of general business skills and international business skills for effective problem-solving.

  • Ability to integrate cross-disciplinary qualitative and quantitative information in problem resolution and opportunity identification.

  • Appreciation for oral communication skills in presentation and negotiating environments with particular emphasis placed on the impact of culture on communication.

  • Ability to design and perform in a cross-functional and cross-cultural team.

  • Ability to utilize computer applications and web knowledge in the conduct of international business data research.

  • Ability to use major databases and web applications related to the IB field.

  • Facility to integrate traditional business and international business skills in problem resolution.

  • Appreciation of the global forces shaping our world from a historical socio-economic, and political context.

  • Cultivate an interest in maintaining an creating professional and personal areas of expertise in a global environment

  • Establish a sense of self at a professional and personal foundational level for the global manager.
